The highlights you shouldn't skip
In St. Thomas: Magens Bay (the postcard beach, and it earns the hype), Charlotte Amalie (historic harbor town, duty-free shopping, an easy wander), and Coki Beach next to Coral World (the clearest water and the most fish you'll see without a boat at all).
In St. John (only reachable by ferry or boat): Trunk Bay — the snorkel trail everyone talks about — plus Honeymoon Beach and Maho Bay for calm water and regular sea turtle sightings, and the small, walkable charm of Cruz Bay.
Lime Out — the floating taco bar everyone's Instagram is jealous of. And a handful of quiet coves and reefs with no dock, no crowd, and no way in except by water.
Christmas Cove & Pizza Pi — snorkeling plus a hot pizza delivered to the boat.
INSIDER TIP: A taxi or rental car gets you one island. A boat gets you the beach, the snorkeling, and the floating bar — often on both islands — in the same few hours, with someone else handling navigation and timing.
